Viral Advertising, Which One is Best?
I recently conducted a small experiment to discover which form or marketing gave the biggest return. Most other similar websites to Rat Race Winner would never reveal this information for free, but I’m on a mission and I want more people to join me and leave the Rat Race and become winners in life and in business. So therefore all my secrets and knowledge bases are free!
The participating marketing mediums I compared were:
- A blog article
- Direct email marketing using Aweber (click to trial)
I tried to see if I could send visitors to another new business related website (www.mechanical-seals.net). On this site I added the Google Analytics code. Anyone familiar with the Analytics Dashboard will know that you can see the source of the traffic, and as this target website was relatively new it would therefore produce clear and precise results.
After one week of testing the winner was Twitter, followed very closely by E-mail marketing, then Facebook, and finally the blog article came last.
Looking at the results more closely, my findings are:
- Twitter is a fantastic way to drive instant traffic to a site as it’s new, fresh, accessible and is currently the most fashionable site.
- Email marketing is not just a great traffic generator, if you have filtered your email contact database (so it has quality contacts rather than quantity) it sends good traffic to a site.
- Facebook will probably send further traffic in the future as people log into their account.
- And finally, the blog article, in though it came last, it is in my opinion will method which will ultimately give the biggest return. The reasons why I believe this is the fact the blog is more permanent, and once it gets crawled by search engines, it will get more hits and then subsequent redirects to the other website.
Conclusion
If you have a product to sell use every form of effective marketing available. To get a sale however is always about the pre-sell. Provide the viewer with facts and then the benefits of the product or service. Offer some testimonials along with a non quibble money back guarantee and you should then increase the chances of winning the custom.
In my opinion a blog article ticks all the right boxes for this and is a more long-term and steady marketing tool. Therefore overall, the blog takes 1st place.
