Your mailing list is what separates the big money making websites from the little ones. Alternatively you might want visitors to just subscribe to your RSS feed so they’ll continue to read your content and then participate on your site at their convenience.

A lot of people set up email lists and auto-responders with the aim of eventually making money by promoting products and services. The aim here is to get users to opt-in to receive future newsletters, announcements or special offers. The same principle goes for online retail stores.
