Money Making Ideas for Kids and Teens

Posted on August 26th, 2009 by lol in Useful Websites And Online Tools, Ways To Make Money

money making ideas for kidsI have recently received several e-mails off young teens asking me how I would make money in today’s climate if I was a teen again (if only).

This is a great question and the topic makes for a great article.  So after considerable thought here are my ways in which I would make money if I was child now.

Hopefully this post will unleash a few budding entrepreneurs who will be able to take an early exit from the Rat Race!

Option 1

If you have a skill or talent; think about offering your friends and family lessons or tutoring.  An example of this could be guitar lessons or football coaching.

There are quite a few ‘oldies’ out there who are only just discovering computers and new technology; if you are a wiz kid there is fantastic potential to earn money by helping them set up and operate new equipment.

Option 2

If you are competent on the internet and have a passion for something in life; consider starting your own blog using Wordpress.  My passions are business and maximising on life; hence RatRaceWinner.com.  When you get a decent following of readers you can look at selling advertising space on your website  and even consider affiliate marketing with a Company like Affiliate Window.

Option 3

Sign up to Squidoo.com and make a Lens (a webpage).   Squidoo is a super-simple, fun and powerful way to share your interests, build your online identity and connect with new readers and friends.  It’s completely free, and you can earn a royalty.  Some Lensmasters actually make a living on Squidoo!  I definantley recommend this.

Option 4

Sign up to Hubpages and make a hub (a webpage).  List your affiliate links on each article you write and make sure its optimised for websites using low competition keyword phrases.

Option 5

Consider undertaking paid online surveys and paid to click jobs.  I recommend you look at CashCrate.com.  They work with companies like Barns and Noble, Blockbuster, Circuit City, etc and you get paid on average £1.00 per survey.  Its possible to make about £50 per week.
