Increase Online Sales By Capturing Leads

lead and email captureThe ultimate goal with ‘lead capture’ is to obtain the email address of the visitor, along with their permission to allow you to contact them away from your site.

Alternatively you might want visitors to just subscribe to your RSS feed so they’ll continue to read your content and then participate on your site at their convenience.

A lot of people set up email lists and auto-responders with the aim of eventually making money by promoting products and services. The aim here is to get users to opt-in to receive future newsletters, announcements or special offers. The same principle goes for online retail stores.

There are some extremely good email marketing software available.  I personally recommend Aweber.  Read more about this software here.  The site charges a monthly fee that you should be able to earn back easily after a short period. There are free alternatives available but you’ll often lose out in terms of features. If this is of no concern then try the free plugins or other free online email marketing sites.  You can always opt for a paid service at a later date.

If you have a membership type site then I advise you to offer some free content initially and then do a teaser selection for your member’s area.  If the visitor wishes to access this other information and resources direct them to your ‘join now’ page.  Along with other visitor details make sure you get their email address.
