Easily Set Up Your Own Comparison Site – Let The Money Roll In!
Online Comparison sites are now a multi-billion pound industry. Get a small piece of the action by building your own niche comparison site.
Firstly, you need to get your self a good domain name. Read my post on ‘How to Buy a Domain Name Like a Pro’. Then head on over to Go Daddy. They are are currently offering the cheapest place to secure domain names, plus the back-up service is second to none!
Next you will need to set up your website. I use two methods for this.
Method 1
Install WordPress using Fantastico Deluxe. If you have a hosting account with Hostgator; you will find this handy tool within the dashboard. I highly recommend Hostgator as your preferred webhost as it is so easy for a novice to use. Sign up to them by clicking here.
Once within your newly installed WordPress you will need to install a relevant theme, I usually just go for a basic one. There’s alot of people who have developed specific comparison themes but you will find there is a very high cost for downloading them, plus it restricts you to just doing comparison sites. An alternative theme to consider is ‘WP-Sales Letter Themes’. There is a one off cost of $32.00 but you will easily recoup this from one affiliate sale. Download WP Sales Letter Themes Here. The beauty of buying this theme is that it can be used for doing sales letters as well as comparison sites!
Once you have installed your theme, head on over to a great little FREE tool for adding shopping comparison tables. Its called ‘Easy Content Units‘. Basically you add your affiliate codes from Affiliate Window, Trade Doubler etc. Then you type in the keywords of your chosen niche – hey presto!! It automatically searches the Affiliation sites for the relevant products and inserts pictures and descriptions within a customizable table.
You then copy the code it generates for the table and then insert it within the HTML code of the blog post you create based on the chosen niche!
Method 2
This method is a bit more tricky and requires some knowledge of HTML code.
Firstly, if you haven’t already done so, purchase your domain name and webhost. Then check out my post on ‘How To Build A Simple HTML Website’.
Customise the website to suit your chosen niche.
Then just insert the HTML code from Easy Content Units and your done!
All that remains then is to send traffic to your site.
I have recently done two sites similar to the above method and they generate a decent income each month.
