When I go on a property spending spree I usually arrange to view and inspect at least one hundred properties in a week; this in itself is no easy task.  Out of these one hundred I will usually bid on about ten of the best ones.

The majority of my income is generated from property related interests.  These vary from a personal property portfolio, property management service for other landlords, property sales (flipping), overseas purchases/rentals, hotels and also land projects.  All of these interests have assisted me to leave The Rat Race.

When I first started off in the property industry, particularly in property investing and rentals; I used to structure deals and seal them with a handshake.  I soon realised however that a handshake was worthless and meant nothing in business.  The days of gentlemen agreements are long gone.  People within the Rat Race are only concerned with their own wealth and success and unless you are dealing with people from within your circle of trust, I advise you to always use legal undertakings for all deals and agreements.  Read more... There are a million ways to make a million pounds but establishing the correct business is essential if you want to escape The Rat Race.  You need to operate in an area which does not handcuff you to your desk or place of work.

For example, I have a friend who is a personal fitness trainer, he earns £40 per hour, works 10 hours per day, 6 days a week.  That’s an income of £2400 per week,  £124,800 per year.  But if he is unable to work due to illness or if he takes two weeks off his income will stop!  This business model although highly profitable is still flawed and will not assist you to escape The Rat Race.  Read more...
