The Second Coming Of The Rat Race Winner

If you’ve visited this site in the last 12 months you probably saw plenty of tumble weeds but very little in the form of quality content.

That’s about to change.

I wrote the post below in the summer of 2011 whilst over in Spain, but I never published it, until now…  It explains the reasons for my absence..

Title: Outsourcing Delivery Of Cold San Miguel To Your Sun Lounger

As I write this, I’m currently sat on a sun lounger at my house in Spain, my kids are by the pool and I’m harassing my partner to bring me out another cool bottle of San Miguel.

Some Effective Interviewing Tips For Employers

interviewing tips for employeesI recently expanded one of my core businesses which opened up an employment opportunity.  I used the following system to help me decide which ones to employ…

We ran an advert in the local press and also in various job agencies and employment centres.  We collected over 100 resumes and then removed the adverts.  Out of the 100 resumes we narrowed the list down to 50 of the best applicants.  We sent a standard letter to the unsuccessful applicants.

We then sent a Job Application to these 50 applicants and set a cut off period of five days for returning it.  (The application form was quite in-depth and most of the information required was already on the applicants resumes.)

Select a Domain Name That Boosts SEO

website urlIt’s an SEO fact that your domain name will either assist with SEO or make life a lot harder!

There’s basically two ways to select a domain name. You can either choose the domain name first and use it as your company name or vice versa. Most companies prefer to retain their brand name in their URL.  This method is fine if you have a big budget for SEO.

Many start-up companies select their URL first and then name their company. This is because of the non availability of the perfect URL.

The Ed Dale, Traffic Bug Scandal Review

Traffic-BugTraffic Bug has a lot of buzz right now due to Ed Dale of the famous 30 Day Challenge programme.

Traffic bug states that for $24.97 per month it will give you over 200 social bookmarks, submit your sites to over 138 search engines and also 1000 directory submissions.  Traffic Bug states this will get you to page one of Google and thus you generate income from your website.

Here’sMy Review Of Traffic Bug

I’m afraid to say that Ed’s highly regarded reputation will be damaged because Traffic Bug is quickly becoming regarded as a scam product.  And for very good reasons.  It’s yet another product that over promises and under delivers.

Claim 4 Gain and Cartel Client Review Closed Down By Ministry of Justice

Yet another claims management firm has been temporarily shut down by the Ministry of Justice whilst they investigate matters further.

According to a report in the Daily Mail newspaper, Claim 4 Gain, a Bolton-based company,  was set up approximately eighteen months ago and has handled over five hundred cases.

Although it was licensed as a claims management company, it was never actually commissioned by the Ministry of Justice.

Prior to being raided last month and having its license suspended until further investigations, customers were charged a fee of £350 for their credit card agreements to be reviewed by Claim 4 Gain solicitors.

Despite Claim 4 Gain operating in Bolton, it used a small solicitor firm called Stenfield in Harrow, Middlesex to look at the credit agreements.

Maheesh Patel of Stenfield told the Daily Mail that Claim 4 Gain sent his firm “around five or six hundred” credit agreements. Although there are some cases that are still ongoing, Mr Patel admitted that “probably only about two” cases had seen their debts deemed unenforceable and written off.

Earlier this year, one of the main players in the controversial claims management sector, Cartel Client Review, was closed down by the Ministry of Justice as stories came to light of customers being charged £495.

However, this time it appears that there is good news for customers who have handed over upfront fees and not had their credit card debts miraculously cleared – they can, somewhat ironically, get a refund if they paid with their credit card.

Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, card companies are jointly liable when a deal involving over £100 goes wrong and it is not the cardholder’s responsibility.
I have wrote about similar Debt Management and Review companies before.  One of my previous posts has attracted in excess of 100 emails from concerned consumers.
If you have been affected by Claim 4 Gain, Cartel Client Review or Legal and Financial Claims, please get in touch with me at info@ratracewinner.com and I’ll do my utmost to assist.
